Fire Dragon Taekwondo has embarked on an unprecedented effort to ensure our Dojangs are as safe as possible for all our Members and their families. Reopening Fire Dragon Taekwondo’s Dojangs is a complex undertaking that must be handled with the utmost care. As such, we have consulted a variety of experts in infection prevention and control and sanitization to ensure the reopening of our Dojangs aligns with or exceeds the recommendations and standards put forth by all levels of government. Our plan is focused on three main areas: ensuring physical distancing, reducing capacity levels in our Dojangs, and enhanced cleaning and sanitization practices.
We have brought all three of these important considerations together to create The Fire Dragon Taekwondo Standard, which will guide the reopening of our Dojangs to ensure the health and safety of all our Members, their families and our staff.
Our new health and safety standards will be updated regularly. It is important to recognize that public health information and provincial orders can change quickly. We will be doing everything we can to update our Standards and website as quickly as possible in response to these changes.
We’re in this together, and we need to work together to keep everyone healthy and safe. By taking care of those around us, we are also taking care of our community, and ultimately our country. We look forward to welcoming you back.
We are dealing with unprecedented circumstances and are doing everything we can to ensure Fire Dragon Taekwondo Clubs are as safe as possible, while we continue to provide an exceptional martial arts experience for our Members. These changes are temporary and we do hope we will be able to resume our regular operations soon; however, we will only do so once it is safe, following the guidelines and recommendations from local government, public health officials.
As a small business, struggling to survive, we have no choice but to temporarily transition our classes to our Zoom Platform, due to current Government restrictions.
However, during our last shutdown we had thousands of attended Zoom Classes, by our members, with great success.
As per your current membership agreement, your payments will continue as scheduled.
Anyone’s Pre-authorized payment schedules, which were put on hold due to families going thru financial hardships, will resume once we reopen. Your payment withdrawal day will remain the same as before the COVID-19 freeze. You can check your payment schedule by logging in to our website and going to your transaction.
People join Fire Dragon Taekwondo because they want to be and feel happy, healthy and strong – physically and mentally. They often find a sense of community that keeps them coming back.
Even with our robust investments in safety and redesigning our facilities, we recognize that these are unique and challenging times and that everyone’s personal situations are different. You trust us with your health and Martial Arts goals and, if you aren’t ready to come back to our Dojangs just yet, we understand. That is why we are offering a temporary Membership freeze, for members that do not feel safe, to return to in person classes, to any Member who requests it.
This freeze would be on the time remaining on your membership, not the payments, your monthly payments will continue normally as scheduled. Any Freeze Time will be added to the end of your membership.
We highly recommend trying out our new Dojang experience, when we are open, before you freeze your Membership. We think you’ll be pleasantly surprised! But if you’re just not ready, that’s ok too.
With online booking, we’re finding a balance between providing the safest Dojang environment possible AND an exceptional experience for our Members. A preset capacity for each Dojang helps facilitate physical distancing while also guaranteeing your spot in class.
To create our booking system, we closely reviewed past check-in volumes, Club square footage and provincial government regulations. We have put a significant amount of time, research and consideration into this system, and we are confident that it will help us provide the safest Dojang environment possible as well as give as many people as possible the chance to achieve their martial arts goals. As we reopen, we’ll continue to monitor the system and your feedback and update our class times where needed.
We are closely monitoring all provincial and federal health guidelines to ensure our Dojangs are safe for all our Members. We will only re-start these activities when it is safe to do so based on these guidelines and following the recommendations of local public health officials.
